LEAN SIX SIGMA TRAINING LED BY A MASTER BLACK BELT
Lean Six Sigma Training That Builds Problem-Solvers, Not Just Belt Holders.
Who is the Lean Six Guy?
Meet Dan - Master Black Belt, coach, and the operator who makes Lean Six Sigma actually stick.
The name wasn't planned. It started in training rooms and coaching sessions - participants would say "it's time to meet with the Lean Six Guy" or "go talk to the Lean Six Guy." It stuck because it captured how Dan, AltoRoc’s partner and founder, shows up: approachable, practical, direct, and focused on helping people actually use what they learn - not just memorize it.

FAQs
Answering Common Lean Six Sigma Training Questions
-
We hear this a lot (it’s often referred to as the Lean Six Stigma effect). In most cases, past training didn't fail because people couldn't learn the material - it failed because the training was disconnected from real work, leadership didn't reinforce it, and there was no coaching after the classroom. We address all three. Our training is project-based from day one, we engage leaders in the process, and we stay connected through coaching until application becomes habit.
-
It varies by level. Yellow Belt programs typically run one to two days. Green Belt spans several weeks with classroom sessions and applied project work in between. Black Belt is a longer engagement - usually three to six months - with deeper methodology, more complex project execution, and ongoing coaching.
-
This is a big differentiator for us. We don’t certify and run. We offer applied coaching after the classroom portion so participants can work through real obstacles on their projects with experienced support. The goal isn't a certificate on the wall. It's a permanent shift in how your team thinks about and solves problems.
-
Most certification programs focus on passing a test. Ours focuses on building the skill to actually use the methodology. Every program is built around real projects inside your organization - not generic case studies. Participants don't just learn DMAIC. They apply it to a live problem with coaching support, so by the time they earn the belt, they've already delivered results.
-
Absolutely. Every engagement is tailored. We build simulations, exercises, and project coaching around your actual operations, terminology, and challenges. Whether you're in insurance, banking, retirement, or healthcare - the training feels like it was built for your team, because it was.
-
No. Our programs are designed to meet people where they are. Yellow Belt is built for people with no prior exposure. Green Belt and Black Belt programs build progressively, and we adjust pacing and depth based on the group's experience level.
